Overview
This is an in vitro diagnostic medical device that uses the immunochromatographic method to qualitatively detect C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in human serum, plasma, and whole blood samples to assess moderate levels of CRP.
CRP is an acute-phase protein produced by the liver, and its concentration increases in response to inflammation caused by infection, trauma, or chronic disease.
CRP testing allows clinicians to evaluate the presence and severity of systemic inflammation.
